Real estate for sale at Business Bay -La Residence at Business Bay 

Business Bay is a new Dubai free zone project that is in the planning and early construction stages. This freehold development, located near downtown Dubai, was conceived with the idea of creating a modern business area that will keep the City and Emirate as the region’s business capital and help catapult it into the forefront of global business centers. Business Bay will be a completely self contained business and living center with modern office buildings and residences.

The new development will cover an area of 64 million square feet, or nearly 6 million square meters. Business Bay is expected to contain over 230 commercial and residential towers set around an extension of the Dubai Creek. The buildings will sit in landscaped gardens with paths, canals and roads connecting the many areas of the zone. This project is adjacent to the Burj Dubai, or Dubai Tower, intended to be the tallest building in the world. Also next door will be the Dubai Mall, one of the largest in the world.

The Executive Towers is the first residential development in Business Bay, and is located between Sheik Zayed Road and Al Mafraq Road. This project consists of 11 residential towers 28-52 stories tall, one luxury hotel tower and a 2-level shopping mall. There will be 1-4 bedroom apartments and amenities include swimming pools, a jogging track, health clubs, clinics and children’s playgrounds. The buildings are labeled A-M, with buildings K and M currently nearing completion. The rest of the residences are scheduled to be completed in late 2007 or early 2008.

The first Business Bay hotel is under construction in The Executive Towers as well. This will be a 300 room 5-star property on 27 floors. Several other hotels are planned for the complex so that residents and visitors alike can be near their offices.

Other residential projects in Business Bay that are under construction include La Residence 1 and 2 at the Lotus, a 4 building residential complex shaped like a lotus flower. The first two buildings look to open in 2009, with the other two still in the planning stages. The Churchill Towers, a 61 story residency tower and a 43 story office building, are also under construction with planned openings in 2008.

One of the first commercial buildings to be constructed is the Vision Tower, an iconic tower of 51 floors and 500,000 square feet of office space. This tower will be located next to The Executive Towers along Sheik Zayad Road, an ideal business location at the heart of the city. This building is expected to open in early 2008. Other commercial buildings that are under construction include The Bayswater, 29 stories tall, and One Business Bay, 35 stories, both scheduled to be open for business in 2008. The World Tower, or Burj Al  Alam will be the focal point of the Business Bay. The World Tower will have 108 floors and be shaped like a flower with open petals at the top.

Conveniently located near downtown Dubai along Sheik Zayed Road, Business Bay will be the new business heart of the city. Business Bay is just minutes from nearby Dubai International Airport.
