Celebrities Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Buy Property in Dubai

Celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have joined the thousands of international buyers in securing Property in Dubai. The film star couple have spent a little more than the average investor by buying an island in the shape of Ethiopia.

 

The purchase is made alongside other celebrities who want to be part of the next big thing in overseas property.  Dubai has been a consistently popular place to buy and invest in international real estate. Dubai's ambitious projects are set to make Dubai the place to be seen and the place for international tourism. It will have a dedicated sports city and the world s largest theme parks just for starters.

 

The island bought buy Brad and Angelina is part of an impressive luxury development off the coast of Dubai called The World. State-owned Nakheel, the developers behind the development declined to comment.The couple intend to use the reclaimed piece of land to showcase environmental issues and encourage people to live a greener life The couple's two-year-old daughter Zahara was born in Ethiopia. The couple's purchase is part of cluster of 300 islands, shaped like a world map, that is gradually surfacing in waters off the booming Gulf emirate.

 

 

Brad Pitt and his wife will be in good company their neighbours will include billionaire businessman Richard Branson and musician Rod Stewart and soccer player David Beckham all reported to have bought plots on the development.

 

 

Prices for the islands range from $US6 million to $US36 million
