Emaar, founded in 1997, is the pioneer of master-planned communities in the UAE and has handed over more than 14,500 homes in Dubai through its landmark projects - Emirates Living, Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches and the up-and-coming Downtown Burj Dubai.
In June 2006 Emaar properties revamped its specialist property management arm, Emaar Property Services (EPS), to offer selling and leasing options across all Emaar projects.
EPS had earlier been focused on the company’s own rental communities such as The Lakes, The Greens and Dubai Marina.
Most recently Emaar received 'Best Developer in the UAE' for the second consecutive year at the Euromoney Real Estate Awards

Emaar's portfolio of real estate projects include Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches, Emirates Living (Emirates Hills, The Views, The Meadows, The Springs, The Lakes, Hattan Homes, The Greens, Streets of Dreams), Emaar Towers and Downtown Dubai (Burj Dubai, Burj Residence, Dubai Mall, The Lofts). The company also owns and manages the Gold and Diamond Park. Emaar has also begun developing real estate outside of the UAE, which includes the Bahia Bay and Amelkis II projects in Morocco, the King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi
Emaar's aims to become one of the most valuable companies in the world and is embarking on an international expansion drive. The company has announced several key developments in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Syria, Pakistan and India.
