French Cultural Season in the UAE

The Saison Francaise, or French Season, will launch in Abu Dhabi on May 3 to celebrate the close ties between the UAE and France. The month-long festival has a mix of performances and other events taking place throughout Abu Dhabi over the course of May and will conclude on June 4.

 

A showcase of French animated films will be shown at the Grand Al Mariah Theatre in Abu Dhabi on May 4th. There will also be a painting exhibition created by the French Navy’s official seascape artists, which will run for two weeks at the Marina Mall. Other events include a fashion show on May 5th; a concert showcasing Tenor Roberto Alagna, soprano Nathalie Manfrino and the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra; an event on the concept of the Louvre Abu Dhabi and many more.

 

The French Season in Abu Dhabi will conclude with a gala dinner at the InterContinental Hotel on June 4th. There will be performances by French artists and a culinary sculpture to bring the event to a close.
